It originated from the olden days of the kampong centre - a place where people gathered and community spirit was built. As Singapore and Tampines have progressed, there still is a need for a place for people to gather and bond as a community, but a venue that catered to the diverse interests and needs of today's modern society. With this in mind the idea of Singapore's first integrated lifestyle destination in Singapore's largest residential area was born.

Come 2016, residents of Tampines will be able to enjoy dining and retail activities, sports, arts & culture - all of these as a community and under one roof at the first ever town hub in Singapore. Designed especially for the residents, the Tampines Town Hub will allow people to come together, interact and build links as a community in the heart of Tampines town. The upcoming Tampines Town Hub will be an entity which the residents of Tampines can be proud of and call their own.
