Terms and Conditions between the MyTampines Card Issuer and MyTampines Cardholder

The following terms and conditions govern the use of the MyTampines Card, participation in the MyTampines Card programme, the validity of the MyTampines Card, the MyTampines benefits and privileges and any offers associated with the MyTampines Card programme. Before you use the MyTampines Card, please read the following terms and conditions thoroughly. By signing the MyTampines Card application form or upon receiving, retaining and using the MyTampines Card, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The card is issued by and remains the property of Global Yellow Pages Ltd (GYP) (including all corresponding intellectual property rights). GYP reserves the right to decline the issuance of a new card, withdraw any existing card and discontinue the entire MyTampines Card programme at any time.
  2. The MyTampines Card programme is intended for individual and/or personal use only. All MyTampines cardholders must be residents in Tampines GRC and be at least 18 years old and above, on the date of application.
  3. All application forms must be completed in full. The card is not transferable & can only be used by the rightful cardholder.
  4. Only one card will be issued per application per person. Additional cards will be charged $5 per card or such other sum that may be determined by GYP from time to time for the third or more card per household. 
  5. Each card continues to be valid subject to such terms and conditions that GYP may require. The cardholder’s privileges will terminate and any unused benefits, including but not limited to points or vouchers, will be forfeited upon the expiry or termination of your card.
  6. The terms and conditions for use and expiry of benefits offered by participating merchants will be subject to the respective terms and conditions of each participating merchant. GYP reserves the right to withdraw or remove any participating merchant and to amend the list of participating merchants from time to time without prior notice. GYP will not be liable for any loss to cardholders due to changes to the list of participating merchants.
  7. To receive benefits, cardholders must show their cards before a purchase is transacted. Failure to do so will render the cardholder unable to enjoy the benefits and/or privileges. No benefits will be credited if the card is not presented during payment. If a cardholder refunds/returns any items for which benefits have been credited, the corresponding benefits for the items returned will be removed from cardholder’s account.
  8. Cardholders are responsible for informing GYP either in person or in writing, when their card is lost, stolen or when there is a change of personal particulars. GYP will not be liable for any consequences and loss of cardholders’ benefits and/or privileges. $5 or such other sum that may be determined by GYP is payable from time to time to replace a new card if it has been mailed to an old address due to changes in cardholder’s particulars not communicated to GYP or for the replacement of any lost or stolen card. GYP is not liable for any loss, damage, costs or expenses arising out of or in connection with the loss, theft, damage or fraudulent use of your card.
  9. Cards will be cancelled if there is any abuse or attempted abuse of the card programme; use or attempted use of the card in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions; and any reasonable suspicion or dishonesty on the part of a cardholder in connection with the programme.
  10. Upon activation of the card issued by GYP, cardholders agree to receive various advertisements, notices and/or promotional messages sent to the cardholder’s email accounts from GYP, its subsidiaries and/or third parties. GYP does not make any representation or warranty with respect to the content of any such email messages or any goods or services which may be transacted from third parties, and cardholders’ agree that GYP is not accountable for any liability occurred through messages from these advertisements.
  11. GYP may disclose  any information relating to the cardholder or the cardholder’s card without the cardholder's prior consent and without any liability to cardholder or any third party as it deems fit in the following circumstances:
    1. to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where releasing such information is mandatory;
    2. to protect and defend the rights or property of GYP;
    3. to act and protect the personal safety of cardholders or the public;
    4. other reasons that GYP may consider to be for its interest to make such disclosures from time to time.

      GYP reserves the right to terminate any cardholder’s card if we learn that the cardholder has provided  false and/or misleading information.

  12. GYP will not be responsible for the quality of any goods supplied and the performance of any goods and services provided by a participating merchant or for the breach of any representations or warranties that a participating merchant may make. Cardholders will resolve any dispute directly with the participating merchant. Cardholders cannot use a claim, dispute or counterclaim or right of set-off cardholders may have against a participating merchant to make a claim against GYP or refuse to pay GYP. Cardholders will not hold GYP liable in any way and cardholders will have no claim against us if the card is not accepted or honoured by any participating merchant for any reason.
  13. Notwithstanding any other terms or conditions, GYP is not liable to cardholders for any loss, damage, inconvenience, embarrassment, cost and expense of any nature which in any way may be suffered or incurred by cardholders or by any other person in respect of or in connection with the usage of or inability to use of the card.
  14. GYP is not liable if we are unable to perform or there is a delay in performing our obligations as a result of anything we cannot reasonably control. This includes the failure of any machine or communication system, defect or damage of the card, industrial dispute, war, act of God, or anything outside our control or the control of our servants or agents, including without limitation the loss of all data and records pertaining to any rewards or promotional programme.
  15. Cardholders agree that GYP has the absolute discretion to use such agents, contractors or correspondents as we deem fit to carry out or procure any of the matters or transactions governed by or contemplated and GYP is not liable to cardholders for any act, omission, neglect of wilful default on the part of such agents, contractors and for correspondence.
  16. Cardholders will fully indemnify GYP and hold GYP harmless against any loss, damage, liability, cost and expenses (including legal costs with disbursements on a full indemnity basis) which we may incur or suffer as a result of or in connection with your card, including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing:

    Your breach of any of these terms and conditions:

    1. The actual or attempted enforcement or protection of any or our rights and remedies against cardholders;
    2. Any change in any law, regulation or official directive which has an effect on the card; or
    3. Any demand or enforcement of payment of any monies due hereunder or the observance and performance of any terms and conditions.

  17. GYP may at any time vary, modify, add to or delete any of the terms and conditions and we will notify cardholders of any such changes in such manner as we may, in our absolute discretion, deem fit. By your retention or continuance of usage of the card after we have given such notice of change, cardholders will be deemed to have accepted such changes without reservation.
